  • The National Geographic Society has its "Expedition Council" grants that can go to individual explorers.
  • Gore-Tex has its "Shipton-Tilman Grant" competition for individual explorers.
  • Malden Mills has its "Polartec Performance Challenge" awards competition for individual explorers.
  • The Geographic Society of Philadelphia has grants for Polar exploration.
  • There is the Timmissartok grant.
