Founded in New York City in 1904, The Explorers Club promotes the scientific exploration of land, sea, air, and space by supporting research and education in the physical, natural and biological sciences. The Club’s members have been responsible for an illustrious series of famous firsts: First to the North Pole, first to the South Pole, first to the summit of Mount Everest, first to the deepest point in the ocean, first to the surface of the moon—all accomplished by our members.
The Canadian Chapter of The Explorers Club is nearly 200 members strong. Our members include scientists, students, authors, and professionals who all share a passion for exploration and discovery, and many of our members have gained national and international recognition for their research and exploration contributions.
The Canadian Chapter is composed of four regions, B.C – Yukon, Prairie – North West Territories, Ontario – Nunavut, and Atlantic -Quebec. Each region hosts a number of events annually to provide opportunities for members to network and share stories and experiences, and we also endeavor to host one national event annually. We are always looking for great new members to join the mix, so if you think you might have what it takes, please contact us. We’d love to get to know you.
